
Gornal Athletic return to league action this weekend as they travel to FC Darlaston on Saturday (2pm) following cup success last time out.
The Peacocks turn their focus back to the WMRL after back-to-back cup wins against against Dudley Athletic in the JW Hunt Cup and Gornal Colts in the League Cup. They’re looking to add to league wins against Bustleholme and Wyrley United for their third consecutive league win which would lift them back to top spot in the standings.
Gornal and FC Darlaston met back in October at the Garden Walk for the reverse fixture.
Bradley Maslen-Jones with a goal and a brace for Nathan Guest sealed a comfortable 3-0 win for Gornal.
Our Opponents
FC Darlaston are currently 15th in the standings with nine points from their 16 games, it’s been a difficult season for them with just two wins and three draws on the board at this stage. They’ve lost three of their last four league games with their last win coming at home against Dudley Sports at the beginning of November.
