Gornal Athletic make the short trip to Tipton Town on Saturday (3pm) as they round out
their October fixtures with a local derby.
The Peacocks added another three points to their tally with an impressive 5-2 victory away at Kidderminster Harriers U23. Callum Lloyd’s hat-trick of headers and a brace from Ethan Delaney put the game beyond the reach of the hosts despite them managing to claw a couple back in the later stages.
The valuable win means that Gornal maintain their bid for promotion as they continue to apply pressure to the sides above. They sit fourth in the standings and have opened up a four-point gap to Bromyard Town in fifth, although Bromyard have a game in hand.
Our Opponents
Tipton Town are 8th in the table with 15 points on the board at this stage. They’ve had a tough run of fixtures in recent weeks, Saturdays game being their third consecutive league fixture against a side currently inside the top four.
They had a strong start to the season, winning four of their opening six fixtures and staying
unbeaten until their 8th game of the campaign. Defeat to Wrens Nest ended their unbeaten start but remains their only loss at home in all competitions this season.
