Disappointing day for us against Chelmsley Town yesterday in a mixed performance by ourselves throughout the game.
We started the game very well getting the ball down and was playing through the thirds and for 20-25 minutes our training session Thursday was showing.
Ultimately football is a game of chances and both teams had plenty of chances but winning games is who takes them and yesterday credit to Chelmsley Town they took the chances need to get the 3 points.
At 0-0 we had chances to go infront with Charlie Oliver just not executing lobbing the keeper and a few times Ryan Piggot getting in great areas for the pull back and one occasion Tyreece Davis putting over the bar.
Without taking chances you always run the risk and that’s what happened when a lapse in concentration Chelmsley found themselves infront from a cool tidy finish.
At 1-0 we knew we were still well in the game but then we conceded yet another penalty that gave Chelmsley the chance to gain some daylight between us which they converted.
Second half even at 2-0 I still thought we could get something out the game we just needed to get the ball over the line to make the game interesting and to test the nerve of Chelmsley.
With the game finishing 2-0 some will say we deserved something out the game but credit to Chelmsley Town they are in a fight for every point available at the minute and deserved the 3 points yesterday.
We just need to look at ourselves and go over that performance and put the wrongs right and that’s on me to solve the problems we are having as I back these players 100%, we set up differently today with a different formation, different personnel because every game is different and requires a different approach, also we can’t be a team that plays one style and be predictable so the defeat yesterday falls on me and it’s for me to put it right.
